ROOF

A little chance, dwelth
On his little frame
To till the land;
With no strength left
As in his youthful years
That drove the spirit
With strength of a spade
And now, with wife
by his side, old and infirm
In a mud house, and thached roof
They counted, both
The years left, and the yellowing
of their thached straw
