RAKE OF MUNICIPALITY

Of the mortals, that die
Like a crow
A black death before its full youth:
An immortal and mystical touch
of supine crow
facing upward, lifeless
stiff
The talons of the sky
the harrow of the fallow land
conspire
In pure exaltation, that
Life, alas
has been seeded away from here
covenant to God and demigods;
Electrocuted by the current
running live; high
On the field wire,
Or,
On the pavement headed by a pole
Or,
On the busy streets; waiting
The rake of municipality
